The Protein Powder Recipe I Can’t Stop Talking About

I will be the first to say that I’ve wanted to like protein powder for most of my adult life. I’ve wanted to enjoy it, sip it, blend it, mix it, and integrate it into my daily life. I see influencers froth it up in glass jars with ice chips and wide-lipped straws and think, “Maybe I could stomach that.” They certainly make it look appealing. But almost every time, I’m disappointed (and honestly disgusted) with the results.

After years of buying protein powders only to toss them after 14 months later with only one serving gone… Oops… I’m happy to report I finally found a brand and recipe I don’t just guzzle down—I actually love it. Like, love it, love it. Look-forward-to-it-every-morning love it.

If you’re a woman who cares about her health in any way, you most likely get Instagram content about the importance of eating enough protein each day. There’s real science behind it—especially in starting the day with 20g of protein. That baseline of protein helps stabilize our cortisol levels and balance our blood sugar, which drastically changes the rest of the day. I’ve certainly seen that ring true in my life time after time.

This protein coffee “recipe” (AKA borderline obsession) is how I’ve been getting protein in first thing without even thinking about it each morning. I’ve been telling everyone I know about this, and I can’t wait to hear what you think. You’ll have to reach out and let me know if you give it a whirl!

Protein Coffee Recipe

One scoop of chocolate protein powder (I love Taylor Dukes Wellness bone both protein powder—more on that below)

A splash of half and half

A cup of coffee

Directions:

Drop a serving of your protein powder into your mug and add a heavy splash of half and half (or desired creamer). Fill the mug up halfway with coffee. Froth the mixture with a small handheld frother (I love this one!) until it’s smooth and creamy. Top off the rest of your mug with coffee and voila! A protein coffee that doesn’t taste the slightest bit like chalky, beefy powder. Just a smooth, creamy latte.

Why I’ve Liked Taylor Dukes Wellness Protein Powder

First of all, I’m not getting paid to share about this. I just truly love it, ha! And I’m so happy I found a protein powder I actually like that I want to tell you why.

The ingredients are super clean. Nothing is in there that doesn’t need to be. The coconut milk powder is a game changer—it helps blend and froth smoother than any other protein powder I’ve tried. Gone are the days of goopy protein (we’ve all been there, haven’t we?). Between the consistency and the ingredients, this is truly the first brand I haven’t just liked, but loved. I get excited to drink this each morning and feel full until lunch. It’s a yes from me!

Comment below with your thoughts—what’s your take on protein powder? Any recipes I should know about? xo
