This is a collection of what’s been inspiring me or helping me through lately. Loving posting these roundups lately!
- Can you tell I’m ready for fall based on the above image, ha?! This is an autumn inspiration / bucket list I created last year and am going to be living by these next couple months.
- This week in church, our pastor’s mom (hi, Linda!) told me she shared some of my writing with a friend and it really made an impact. Hearing that touched me so deeply. I’m sharing this because the people in our lives need our support and to hear the words that blessed me so deeply, “Keep going!” This is your sign to say those words to someone you love!
- On that note, if anyone in your life loves writing or journaling, sharing my writing guide with them might be a big encouragement. We all want people to believe in our gifts, and your nudge could get them started!
- I don’t know if it’s allergies or something in our house (which I sure hope not lol), but I’ve noticed I wake up a little stuffier than normal. So I kicked back up my dry brushing routine before bed and it has totally zapped my need to immediately blow my nose in the morning! I really believe in the power of lymphatic drainage. This is the dry brush (just $20!) that I use and love.
- I took a little trip to Old Navy this weekend, and oh my gosh. Their fall collection is incredible! These are some of my favorites. I couldn’t resist the king fisher sweatshirt and sweatpants. Soooo soft and comfy!
- Last week I shared how I’ve really been focused on my mindset lately. Over the past several months, the Lord has really opened my eyes to my desperate need for hope. If there is no hope, there is no light, no point. Hope is everything. I’m untangling the difference between hope and faith (they are sisters of Christianity, aren’t they?!), and I’m just loving the process. We can all change our mind or attitude at any moment, choosing to believe the best, and in the process totally change our experience / perception of our circumstances. Thank you, Jesus, for neuroplasticity!
- I was recently reminded that going gluten-free can be so hard in the beginning. Especially if you’ve never done it before. I shared this post about a year ago with all my tips and tricks on eliminating gluten from your lifestyle (feel free to share with anyone in your orbit going through this). In that vein, this is one of my favorite gluten-free cookbooks, and this is another incredible one where people can’t ever tell the recipes are gluten-free.
- Overall, past week was hard. The death of Charlie Kirk, and all that happened after it, hit me in the gut. It’s safe to say that the #1 thing that helped me through was remembering John 1:5 — ”The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
