RESPECT
I always want to write about my feelings 
And the depression 
With respect,
Because they are real, 
and I don’t want to treat them like the enemy. 
Rather,
I want to learn 
how to move and flow 
and grow with them. 
How to worship 
and write 
and love with them, 
as imperfect and flawed 
as they may be.

THE PATH
Let these words be my light
Let the turning of pages,
The scribbles and scratches from the pen
Forge a path forward
A new way,
A new hope
Meeting me here on paper.
A gift, a treasure
That we may remember this meeting
With these words.
Humble and casual,
Seeking healing
Evermore.

It’s funny.
These words
Are certainly for you
But they’re most definitely
For my own little heart, too.
