To the Tiny Cappuccino Spoons:
My goodness, how adorable you are. And how overlooked you are, too. It’s a shame you don’t get more attention, more notoriety. But, that’s exactly why we’re here today.
You are so perfect for the role you serve. You were perfectly crafted for the saucer, designed to be the cappuccino’s nifty sidekick. I love that you help me savor coffee chats, connection with friends, and my after-dinner drink of choice. If you weren’t there, cinnamon-dusted foam would go abandoned, untouched, and neglected in ceramic mugs across the city. But you don’t dare let that happen.
If I’m being honest, I haven’t fully appreciated you until as of late—my cappuccino era. The intentionality of your creation, the distinct purpose of your placement has me thinking.
If God didn’t overlook the foam on our caps—crafting a utensil perfectly designed to soak up every last drop—He surely hasn’t overlooked me. Not for a single second. And if He can bring beauty and purpose from your teeny-tiny spoon, I know He can do immensely more through me, in whom His Spirit dwells.
You are precious and lovely. Thank you for your service. You make life more fun, and I am grateful.
